Will You Be Made Whole? (Part 18: Battle Wounds)

As I’m preparing to head to Cali today, I keep hearing my spirit Battle Wounds. There are so many of you who have been through so many battle wounds (whether it be battles with the devil, or bad choices in which the devil would take advantage). Regardless of the situation, I want you know that you can be made whole. And if there is any message I want you to gain from this blogpost, it would be this: your life is worth fighting for (not only is there someone in your circle fighting for you, your life and your dreams, but God is fighting for you, your life and your dreams and He wants you to win).

Take a moment to look at where you are right now: are you in a situation to where you believe you can’t break free (fear of being on your own), you’re trying to find love in all the wrong places, you’re using a situation to gain the upper hand on others, you’ve gone through an abortion, you’ve been raped, you’ve been neglected, you were lied to, you were physically abused, emotionally abused, verbally abused, sexually abused, abandoned by those you say were for you, those who were supposed to protect you. You may have gone through those things, and you just want people to know how much you’ve been through. Many in this life are oblivious to what you’ve been through, and let me say this: God is not the author of what you’ve been through/experienced.

I know you have battle wounds, and if you let God heal them correctly, they will be a testimony of how God not only healed you, but of how faithful He is to restore what you’ve endured. Some of you have been lied to in saying God caused your experiences or He caused your loved one to die (translation: He took your loved one). Let me say something to you: because of the lies you’ve heard (and the experiences you went through), many of you have given up on what you believed and are striving to reach God or gain His blessings on your terms. Basically, you’ve surrendered because you’re constantly looking at the battle wounds of what others, yourself and the devil inflicted on you. God doesn’t see your wounds (and neither do I), He sees you healed and whole. And yes, you can be made whole from the wounds and scars that you’ve endured. Will you be made whole? Don’t put off going after healing His way any longer. Remember, your battle is not flesh and blood; it’s the devil who’s after your very soul (and most importantly, your faith). If can steal your faith, your view of God will not only be distorted, it will cause you to not only quit life (and your dreams), but God too.

In this thing called life, it is a fight. And because there will be tribulations, you will experience wounds. But understand that the only fight you’re supposed to fight in this life is a “faith” fight. He loves you, but circumstances are doing all they can to deter that love He has for you. For some of you, you have fell to procrastination, almost to the point of giving up because the wounds that you’ve endured hurt other parts of your body (heart, mind and parts of your flesh). I know many of you are warriors and wouldn’t allow this battle to get this crazy! But because it did, you’ve lost your sense of peace and are looking everywhere but up for the peace that surpasses all of your understanding.

In summary: He loves you and has an awesome future for you (that your eyes haven’t seen). You have to believe me when I say this. Your life is worth fighting for, and I want you to know my reader, that I’m fighting for you.  Just don’t quit as you experience battle wounds.  If you’re one who quit (or is on the verge of quitting) because the fight is so over the top, call on God’s angels to fight for you (and those who are focused on seeing you win, and not gossip)! If you don’t quit, and acquire a made-up mind, you will win! It’s a fixed fight!

So It's Rape Only If A Woman Remembers?

It has been brought to my attention that my fellow rape survivors have been offended. When one is offended, all are offended. So according to Cee-Lo Green, it's only rape if you remember it? Well, on behalf of us sexual abuse & rape survivors, so if we were drugged up by you and forced to have sexual intercourse with you, that's consensual? And another question (on behalf of the countless women who have been raped and ended up pregnant): do you expect a woman not to remember if she was raped when she finds out a few months from the moment you raped her that she is pregnant?

It sounds like to me that Cee-Lo Green has never met anyone who has experienced rape. Oh wait, he is the one who raped someone. And to make matters worse, he tried to define in his own way of what rape and sexual assault is. That's just as bad as having a pedophile define what is child abuse and what's not.

Now let's add insult to injury, our wonderful judicial system (controlled by the White House - yes, I said it) sentences him to three years of (get this) PROBATION after slipping a woman ecstasy without her consent in 2012. So while he was a judge in The Voice, he was raping women.

On behalf of us who have been raped (including those who were date raped) and sexually abused, what justice is there when the abuser and rapists gets a slap on the wrist and is free to walk the streets and harm more people and/or possibly kill them? I guess until it hits their home, they could care less.

Now I understand that the world loves its own, but how can we continue to put people like this on a pedestal when they're not worthy of such honor (believe me, no human is worth it). And why should a man who earnestly believes that women who have been raped (regardless of the type) will remember their assault.

Before I forget, here's the full-link to the article.

http://globalgrind.com/2014/09/02/cee-lo-green-rape-tweets-if-you-remember-it-details/

Now let's take this rape issue further. If you're living in the U.S. and you're reading this, don't think it's not happening elsewhere. Check this out: Sharia law is creeping in and in Islam it is a woman's fault if she is raped and she can be killed. It is only the man's fault if he admits it. Now one can only wonder why so many sick men are joining Islam?

So I ask everybody around the world, who is protecting the women and the children?

My editor Shantae Charles believes that we need more men stepping to the forefront and condemning rape culture. And you know what, it's an honor to condemn the rape culture. As I am a sexual abuse survivor, I have no problems using my voice to sound the alarm about this.

In closing: I have a few parting words. First of all, Cee-Lo Green owes every woman (especially those who were date raped) an apology. There are countless women who have been raped and abused. As a result, they feel like they have no hope and some are cutting to ease the pain. Now don't be alarmed if his apology is not sincere, but if it is, glory to God.

Second of all, Cee-Lo needs to understand that the woman he raped is someone's daughter, sister, or mother. He needs to go through a class where he sits and listens to stories of women who survived their rape (even at the point of their lives threatened).

Thirdly, Cee-Lo is no different than many of the Hip Hop artists who feel that women are nothing more than objects of pleasure. They will never be able to appreciate the beauty of what God placed in front of them.

As a man, I boldly declare this: we as men are going to be held accountable for the way we treat you  ladies. You are special, you are loved and you are a helpmate (and most definitely not a playmate)! A judicial system who neglects women and children will bring judgment among a city (if not a country). It's time for us ordinary people to get our heads out of the sand and raise our voices for those who are too weak to fight.

I'll stop here. Enjoy your day or evening where you are.

Why The Judicial System/Government Allows Authorities To Abuse The Abused

This was not a planned blog, so God is in control of this one. I will continue the series why the judicial system is failing abused children, but I believe God wants this out so justice is served for hurting survivors.

One thing I do is educate and speak on things. I don't want to leave people with the feeling of sorrow and pain, but I want you to be able to rise from where you are to show that YOU are not only a survivor, but YOU are loved, and cared for in a world where you feel forsaken (when those who say they love you take advantage of you).

So, why is the judicial system and/or the government allowing authorities (such as the police, jailers, those in leadership positions) to take advantage of abused victims? Well, the easy answer comes from Ecclesiastes 8:11 - Because the sentence against an evil deed is not executed speedily, the heart of the children of man is fully set to do evil.

I can tell you straight up that an alarm needs to ring when abused survivors of sexual abuse, domestic abuse are in mental institutions, failing to give victims the help (natural and spiritual), and as a result of their failure, the survivors institutionalized become suicidal (not all, but some do). I found out a moment ago that women who suffered abuse, traumatized, and institutionalized are stripped down to nudity. Now let's add to this trauma that women go through, the male jailers mock them and rape them without getting caught. I can promise you God is watching them. To me, the sad part is that the judicial system and/or government knows about this and allow it to continue under their watch and ours. Not only that, but they will just hand medication to survivors as the ultimate remedy.

I pray for every abuse survivor (regardless of where they are because I am one, but more importantly because they are worthy of love and God loves them too). I pray for the government and judicial system because they are going to have a lot of blood on their hands if they don't repent for their actions. I pray that every survivor receives a double blessing for the pain they suffered that no man (or demon in hell) can take from them.

To my fellow survivors, we're still alive. I love you all dearly and we have stories to tell. Let your voice be heard, for we can and WILL change the world. You can (and WILL) thrive - and I say this to me too. We need each other to survive and I will try my hardest to not harm you with the words from my mouth.
